Maria got stung by a bee. The bee just barely stung her finger, but it was enough to make her cry and not understand what was going on. She thought it was a fly, because when we went camping we had a lot of bees that we were swatting and she probably figuring that it was ok to pick them up. How she got him to sit still long enough to pick him up is beyond me. She was playing on the deck when this happened.
We put an ice pack on it and she babied it for a 1/2 hr then it was forgotten. And her finger never swelled or bleed.

Ouch is right. I have only gotten stung once in my life and it hurt for hours. Even after Connie got the stinger out of it. Mine was on my under part of my arm. I was at the camp ground and we believe I trapped him when I put my arm down. OUCH OUCH I had no idea what happened because I never say it but the way my hand swelled etc Connie, Mom and Dad knew right away what happened. So here is my story about bees.
