I've been applying for jobs with in the company and I have an interview on Thursday for the Refunds position. One day a lady, who I don't talk to that often, came and told me about it said that she felt I would be good for the job. So I filled out an application and resume with this result of an interivew. YAH! The person who told me about the position, also, put in a good word for me.

This shows that people do watch and notice who does good. Hopefully my hard work and dedication will pay off in the end.

The positions like I said is in Refunds. So my job would be to analyis the account and determine when and if a refund is required. So it sounds like it would be more challenging and rewarding.

Oh yes, more money it will be. It is a couple of more scales up the ladder. And we can use more money anytime! I won't have the interview until Thursday afternoon so I wouldn't think I would find out until at least the first part of Feb., because they have to do a background check on everyone even though I already work for the company. Seems dumb, but that is the procedure.

The interview went well! The manager is easy to talk to so our conversation just flowed. Before I left she said that she was impressed and felt good enough that she would offer it to me right there, but she has several other people to talk to before that. She had a meeting with her team afterwards and told them about it asked everyone for there opinion or if they had anything good or bad to say. Carol a co-worker had plenty of good to tell her that she felt that I have the job. I'm not banking on it too much until I hear the final word.

I am excited for the change and the move up. I've never gone for another job to improve my situation before so this is scary yet exciting for me.

Congratulations!!!! Making changes can be scary at times but afterwards you get into the flow of it all, you'll look back and say that's not so bad after all.

When will you know? Will it be with the same workers-that'll help! Good luck to your success.

Sheryl ~ What an exciting time for you! That's great you've interviewed for a higher position. More $$$ is always nice! Most employers appreciate seeing dedicated, hard workers show their incentive to learn more & take on more responsibility. I'm glad the interview went well & you felt comfortable so that the conversation flowed naturally. That's always a nice boost for a person's self confidence too! Way to go! Good Luck...let us know when you hear the final word. We're cheering you on!

Well as of now I will be staying where I'm at and I'm not to bummed about that. The reason they aren't giving it to me is because I don't have one year of Insurance resolution under my belt. So I will be working on that for the next 6 months for the next time I apply for an account specialist of any sort. The other two position have already been filled so those are also out.

There is a reason that I need to stay in this position. I don't know what that is, but that isn't to be questioned, we will wait and see.

Thanks everyone for your support and cheering.

My friend Vicky said this to me....Yeah, but you tried so you are a winner!!! What a good way to look at it. Thanks!

I've finally made it to the next level....Account Follow-Up Specialist. Means more money, more frustrations and responsibilities.

My job will consist of investigating patient outstanding invoices, figuring out why there was a denial in payment and appealing when need be. So it will be more interesting, but more frustration towards the Ins company when they don't pay the bill when you know they are responsible for the bill.

Looking forward to the change and challenge.

No, I'll be working with the same team. I like that and I don't, but this makes it only one thing to change my position and not everything at once. Maybe, someday I'll go to a different department.

Thanks! Everyone for the encouragement.
