Well we had our 1st blizzard today for this winter. We have really been lucky.
Sheleen, did you stay at work all day or did you go home early. We had a lot of people who left before dinner. Most of them lived south of Willmar. Than a few more by 2:30.
I have no idea how much snow we got but we also had some snoww yesterday, so the winds had a fair amount of snow to blow around. And it blew. Gust up to 36 miles an hour. Total white outs. They just said on TV that we had gusts even more than 36. All I know is you couldn't see anything. I think every sports event, school and other events in the area were cancelled today. I think the worse is over though now.
What was your weather like today?

No, I didn't leave work early, for the fact that I felt there would be more vehicles out leaving early and thought it just as safe to leave at usual time. Which it proved to be the fact. Hardly anyone out when I left for home at 4:45p.m. It wasn't too bad when I left either. There was a time or two it was a white out but I just slowed down at those places figuring it could be slippery. I didn't drive over 50 so that helped. I got home safe!
I am wondering if school will be 2 hrs late tomorrow!?
I didn't leave early either. The 5 people who left before dinner all lived south. Because it is so flat it can really blow. A couple more left in the afternoon.
There were times we couldn't see our cars parked in the parking lot. I suppose in town you didn't see the total white outs. You probably didn't even realize how bad it was in the country
