We are on vacation in Missouri and we are enjoying our time. We've done a lot of swimming, got some horseback riding in, train ride, went and visited a fish hatchery, golfed at "Pirates Cove", a lot of out to eat and few nights in for supper and got to see a cave. We planned to do that again tomorrow but at a different one. We have made the most of our weeks vacation. The kids are doing an awesome job of riding in the car. They are making their mom into a liar....

Colby is doing just fine. Since he has been at Lynn's, I am sure he is going to want another dog at his house to play with. Sparky (Lynns dog) and Colby are doing better than any of us thought. The two of them made liars of all of us.
I will be going and getting Colby Sunday or Monday. I suppose he will go home on Tuesday. Arlo was getting upset that he wasn't going to see Colby so I had better get him for at least 1 evening.
Thank heavens they got along just fine because I ended up with health problems this week, so I couldn't take him. The 1st night I had him, I put his kennel in my bedroom but didn't lock the door. Some time in the night I felt Colby jump into my bed. I was laying on my side with my arm away from my body. He just snuggled im by my arm and body. Never made any noise or tried to give me a kiss of anything. I don't know how long he stayed there but I felt him when he left and went back to his kennel. Colby & I get along just fine.
I bet it is different for you guys not to have him around. I bet you miss your automatic floor clearer around the table & kitchen.
It sounded like you guys had a lot you did and tried to fill every day to the fullest.
I am glad you guy had a lot of fun. Talk to you when you get home.

Glad to hear that Colby & Sparky are getting along so well. Now we know that we have some babysitters if we go again some time.
The vacation was good. Got to see a lot of historic things and a lot of beautiful scenery. If you want to see a LOT of TREES go to Missouri. They are never ending!! It was a fun area but I don't think it would be a place I would want to live. It seemed too touristy and Branson was a little dirtier than I expected.
On Friday we went to the St. Louis, MO zoo. It was a lot of fun and it was free. There were many different animals that we haven't seen or don't have at our zoo's. Hopefully Eric will have time soon to post all of the 900 pictures that we took on the trip so that you can see the different animals.
The ride home seemed much longer than when we went. The kids did great both times. It did help that we brought along the lap top and movies to help pass the time faster.

Well I meet Sheryl and the kids in St Cloud on Tuesday to give them Colby back. Of course he was very excited about seeing them. Even though he was at Lynn's most the time I miss him. On the way home (all by myself) I found myself getting out of the car at the gas station real careful so he wouldn't jump out. He wasn't even there. Sparkey also misses Colby.
