I've heard about it but never experienced it. Now I have experienced it. Hayden got it over the weekend...Friday evening fever and spots/blisters showed up on Sunday. Now I think that Maria is getting it. She woke this a.m. with a fever of 103 and throwing up. I'll be watching for the spots/blisters. It is painful if you get the blisters on your feet. Hayden was walking around with shoes on because it was not as painful.
We aren't sure where it started but we do know that Kelly & Nate's little boy Briggs had it and their neighbors had it last week. We were there on Sunday July 20th and that is how long it took to incubate in our kids.
It is well known in younger kids but the Dr yesterday said that anyone can get it but it is more commonly found in younger children.
It is a virus like a cold. There is nothing you can do to get rid of it, but give it time to works it's way out. The only thing you can do is to make them comfortable with Benadryl or Ibuprofen.
