Well, I told my boss that I'm planning on not working during the summer and working part-time when the kids are in school.

It's time I stay home and help my kids to achieve their goals in life. Brianna could use some extra help on schooling, Colette needs more guidance in learning to pickup after her self, and Alex needs to get a job to earn his own money for his toys. Not only that, as much money we spend on eating out because we're to tired to cook and paying someone to clean my house, I can cut back and stay home more.

I should have done that long time ago but sometimes you just don't see things so clearly but now I feel I should be at home. This is the time in their life that they could get into more trouble then when they were little!

Looking forward to it. [Big Grin] [Thumbs Up]

Wow! I'm proud that you are able to do that and are willing to do that. It'll be best for you all I do wish the best for all of you.

How did your boss react to that, being that you just started?

Are you really off for this summer or next yr that your planning to not work summers??

As of today I'm officially hired at Michaels. The doors open yesterday but i'm working tonight and Saturday 1-9pm.

I've been working since the end of May with store setup. AT first it was okay but towards the end we all were sick of it. It'll be awhile before i'll do that again.

Besides working at Micheals-evenings. I''m doing some house cleaning. But i need to find people like Mom has, that pays good!!!! [Thumbs Up]

I thought about doing work at home that you read in the papers. I sent for imfo on one but afraid to send $ for it!? Anyone know of anything about those ads in the paper??? Let me know-anyone!!

Just home for an hour and checking web to see what I have missed. I see Stacy hasn't answered your question Shannon. So I will tell you what I know and if it has changed again she can come back and correct it. As of last week she is just going to part time now. 20hrs. And I havent told her but this is what happened to me when the twins were 6yrs old. Only I didn't go to part time. I realized to that I should be home with my kids also and I did quit. And after I did I found more ways to make money at home than you could shake a stick at. In fact I was more busy than before but at home. Only now looking back I wish I would have kept it at a lower pace because even though I had quit and was at home I don't feel that I was exactly spending more time with my kids.

But then come Bob Nelson who gave me a job at home which was just perfect as far as I am concerned. Because I was at home all the time and I was able to take time doing something else in the house with the kids. I not sure of the perfect way to be at home and spend time with each other. Maybe its because I'm not use to not keeping busy. Its my nature to think that if I'm not doing something valueable I'm wasting time.

But I do think that I am able to enjoy spending things with the grandchildren now. I'm looking forward to spending time with them this summer and dividing them up in to groups of three that will enable me to have (I am committing my self to) qualitiy time with each one.

Shannon what I have heard about those jobs at home isn't good. Something about if you don't do the project just as they say they won't pay you for it. And they seem to be able to find something that they can justifly say that it isn't just right. So I didn't send for any then either. I do think if you can just set your price and find the right people who know you to refer you you will get it. It does take a while to get established but when you do you will find there are alot of people out there who are looking for you and you will have to decide what days you want to work and what hours and what pay ahead of time so you don't get into something you can't get out of. Anyway its not easy to tell someone you have to quit because you need more time at home. They make you feel sorry for them and you don't like to disappoint them so you keep on doing it. I know that has happened to me and now I have it pretty well under control and feel better about it.

Maybe your chiropractor will have a bulletin board you can post an ad that they will be a reference for you. Some one like that.

Good luck to all of you who are trying to live a life that will give you the money you need to live on and still time doing things with your children like you would like to.
